CHESS PUZZLE SOLVING CONTEST RULES

       
1.  Players will receive a handout with the puzzles face down, and may not look at the puzzles until instructed to begin.

2.  Each player will be seated at a chess board of their own, and are allowed to set up the position, along with being able to move the pieces to analyze.

3.  Participants will write out the answers next to the puzzle, and must also write the moves for both white and black when necessary.

4.  Each participant is allowed up to 30 minutes to complete the puzzles, and must stop writing when time has elapsed.

5.  A correct solution will be worth 1 point.

6.  The participant with the most amount of points will be declared the winner.  In the case where the point totals are tied, the tiebreak shall go to the person that turned their handout in the soonest.

7.  Players are not allowed to analyze together, or share answers.
